THE SNOW IS HERE
12/8 - The temperature has dropped and so has the snow. We didn’t get a lot of snow,
but it is a start.
NEW WEBSITE
12/6 - Between getting married, going on a honeymoon, and getting everything ready
for the upcoming ski season, Kurt found time to build a new site. Everything should
be easier to navigate. And of course looks better. Check back often for new updates
and features.
OPENING
12/19 - The 2011/12 ski season is upon us, and we are getting ready to open. The
cold weather is here and the snow is on the ground, which means the mountains are
open. We still have availability during the holiday. We also have discount lift
vouchers to Windham Mountain for the whole week.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
1/1 - It is now 2012, and we’re hoping for the best ski season yet. The weather in
2012 has been very cold so far, and that means the mountains can make snow. Even
is there isn’t a lot of natural snow there will be plenty of snow for skiing.
The Mini Cup is a kids racing event developed by the Rip Van Winkle Ski Council.
It is a competitive race that give kids and parents an opportunity to learn how racing
events occur. Format for the race is Giant Slalom.
Windham Mountain will offer seniors ages 50+ significantly reduced prices on lift
tickets, lessons and ski-and-stay packages at The Winwood Inn, Legends Bar & Grill,
Windham Mountain Sports and the Demo Center. Guests must present their ticket or
ID for age verification to receive discounted rates.
Windham Mountain's Adaptive Sports Foundation will host the Wounded Warrior Weekend
where instructors help veterans to overcome injuries and experience the thrill of
skiing and snow boarding.
For the 39th consecutive year we are hosting one of the most unusual ski races to
be found anywhere as members of the New York Fire Department make their annual trip
to Hunter Mountain.
